Confirmed that using comfort on a player with the Misery debuff will remove it. A very cool feature and I wish there were other subtle implementations like this, like perhaps having to do an emote for a boss fight. /dote or /kiss, /blowkiss should be able to remove toad.

The scenario this usually occurred would be when two or more people in the group needed the drop or were looking for it, but someone in the group who didn't need it or wasn't hunting for it would pick the item up and the people who needed it would play for it.
