Symbols Quotes Quotes by Theme Summary Full Book Summary Stella Grant, a senior in high school, checks herself into the hospital after coming down with a fever and sore throat. Stella was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was six years old and knows these symptoms can be life-threatening.
Review: Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott. This book tells the story of two cystic fibrosis patients who fall in love, however they must stay six feet away from each other at all times. If Stella and Will get too close to each other, Stella could lose her shot at new lungs. I enjoyed how the book is both informative and entertaining, and
A few months ago I read the novel version of “Five Feet Apart,” and I can confidently say the movie follows the plot of the written book very closely. While I did know the ending, it did not make me any less excited. While I quietly prayed for Stella to hold her breath for a second longer, my dad most likely thought I was going insane.

How is the ending of ‘Five Feet Apart’ different in the book? As mentioned above, the movie and book are pretty close. There is, however, one pretty big difference in the ending… and it’s fairly devastating.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW. The premise of Five Feet Apart may sound familiar—girl with life-threatening illness meets boy with same—but this YA heartbreaker feels entirely fresh. 3. The meaning of the ending. This difference had me sitting in my seat after the movie ended and the credits rolled, mouth hung wide open. For those who have not read the book, Lippincott ends it with a fast-forward to eight months later, where Stella and Will happen to reunite in an airport. alaqc.
