Jerrick Leger. An access point name (APN) on mobile phones establishes a connection to the gateway between the carrier's network and the internet. The APN finds the IP address that the device is identified with on the network, determines if a private network is needed, chooses the correct security settings, and more.

To set options when Cellular Data is on, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options, then do any of the following: Reduce cellular usage: Turn on Low Data Mode, or tap Data Mode, then choose Low Data Mode (depending on your iPad model). This mode pauses automatic updates and background tasks when iPad isn’t connected to Wi-Fi.

You could try adding the dns settings to the build.prop file and see if it sticks. Adding the following to the build.prop file should add google as your DNS server. net.rmnet0.dns1=8.8.8.8 net.rmnet0.dns2=8.8.4.4 net.dns1=8.8.8.8 net.dns2=8.8.4.4. Mobile IP is a communication protocol (developed by extending Internet Protocol, IP) that enables users to travel from one network to another network while maintaining the same IP address. Just visit the administration page of your device, usually found by typing the internal address into your browser. Mine is currently on 192.168.1.254 for example and you’ll normally reach the administration console.
